My name’s Ryan Rossner.
In 2021, I earned a PhD studying the molecular mechanisms of aging in the Kaeberlein lab at the University of Washington.
From Aug 2021 – Jan 2022, I did six months of a postdoc with the US Air Force contributing to the DARPA Biostasis project developing therapeutic drug-induced human hibernation to help wounded soldiers who are awaiting evacuation from remote battlefields.
I’m a former athlete (2 NFL off-seasons, college football placekicker, college track shot and discus), and my sports experience heavily informs my attempts at longevity-optimized biohacking (on a budget, haha). I’m available for hire as a remote personal trainer and fitness/longevity/biology consultant.
I’m doing #vanlife and working and spending minimally these days to maximize the free time/energy I can invest into longevity-optimized biohacking. Mostly I workout at Planet Fitness, ruck slowly, eat 1 moderate meal a day from Walmart/Sam’s club, and read/make infographics π
My three scientific guiding lights are longevity/augmentation, the afterlife, and space exploration.
I’m also passionate about music, songwriting, and classic literature. Some of my work/thoughts on these subjects are featured on this blog in addition to science stuff.
